On 17 September, Wardyński & Partners will host a guest lecture on “Young lawyers and advocacy” with KEE Hui Yee 纪慧仪, the youngest elected member of the Bar Council Malaysia!

This meeting is addressed particularly to young legal professionals and individuals interested in navigating a dynamic legal environment.

– Breaking barriers and taking the lead: Practical lessons on stepping up, overcoming challenges, and building professional confidence as a young lawyer (lessons from the Malaysian Bar Council).
– Making an impact through advocacy: The role of young lawyers in driving change, taking initiative, and navigating through time of challenges in the time of AI.

Ms Kee is a Partner at Kanesalingam & Co., Kuala Lumpur. She currently serves as Co-Chairperson of the Bar Council Family Law Committee (making her the youngest person to have been appointed to the position), Co-Deputy Chair of the Mediation Committee, and is the immediate past chair of the National Young Lawyers and Pupils Committee.

Her practice focuses on dispute resolution, and she has represented clients in a wide range of cross-border disputes, particularly in corporate, commercial, family, probate, and employment matters. Hui Yee has appeared at all levels of the Malaysian courts and is currently involved in a commercial arbitration before the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).

She also maintains an active pro bono public and constitutional law practice. She is an accredited mediator, a trained collaborative lawyer, and a member of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA), the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, and LAWASIA.
