Appointment of the Arbitration Council for the term covering 2019-2022

Dear Sir or Madam,

On January 1, 2019, the Statute of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce enters into force adopted by Resolution No. 31/2018 of the Presidium of the Polish Chamber of Commerce of 13 December 2018.

Pursuant to its provisions, the authorities of the Court are the Arbitral Council and the Director General of the Court. The main competence of the Arbitral Council, the work of which is headed by the President of the Council, is self-governing co-formation and supervision over the substantive aspects of the Court’s activities.

We are pleased to announce that on December 13, pursuant to the provisions of the new Statute of the Court, at the request of the President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce Andrzej Arendarski, the current President of the Court, Marek Furtek, was elected President of the Arbitral Council. The Arbitral Council appointed the most distinguished representatives of Polish arbitration recognized in the legal environment:

  10. Prof. dr hab. Krystyna Szczepanowska – Kozłowska
  11. Dr hab. Andrzej Szlęzak, Prof. SWPS
  12. Prof. dr hab. Andrzej Szumański
  13. Radca prawny Krzysztof Zakrzewski

At the same time, we would like to inform you that the rights and duties of the Presidium of the Arbitration Court, members of the Presidium of the Arbitration Court, the Secretary of the Arbitration Court or the President of the Court of Arbitration arising from arbitration, mediation and domain regulations have been granted to the Arbitral Council, the President of the Arbitral Council, the General Director or the Arbitral Tribunal respectively.
